Apptics Suite privacy policy & data processing terms
Effective July 2026 ยท This agreement applies between Apptics ("we") and the merchant ("you") from the moment you install the Apptics Suite app.
1. What we process, and why
We process store data solely to provide profit analytics to you, the merchant:
- Order data โ order totals, line items, refunds, currencies, shipping country and method. Purpose: computing revenue, costs, and contribution margins.
- Customer identifier only โ the numeric Shopify customer id, used exclusively to group orders into cohorts and lifetime-value analysis. We never collect or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or street addresses.
- Data you provide โ cost rules (COGS, operating costs) and credentials for integrations you connect (ad platforms, shipping, affiliate).
This is the minimum personal data required for the app to function. We do not use it for any purpose other than providing the service to you, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except the hosting infrastructure that runs the service.
2. Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Integration credentials are additionally encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage.
- Every query is scoped to your store at the data layer; no store can access another store's data.
3. Retention & deletion
- Uninstalling the app deletes your synced order data immediately; all remaining data (cost rules, ad spend, credentials) is purged when Shopify issues the shop-redaction request 48 hours later.
- Customer redaction requests (GDPR/CCPA, relayed by Shopify) sever the customer identifier from historical orders automatically.
- Customer data requests are honored via Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks.
- We keep no personal data longer than needed to provide the service.
4. Automated decision-making
The app produces analytics for you to read. It makes no automated decisions about your customers with legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Your responsibilities
You remain the controller of your customers' data. You are responsible for ensuring your own privacy policy covers the use of analytics processors such as Apptics Suite.
